Job description

The Pharmacy Technician for Specialty Area will be responsible for drug dispensing and coordinating driver’s daily route. This position supports also the Pharmacy Director in all purchases and inventory monitoring.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible of the specialized inventory and purchases of infusion services
• Dispensing and process prescriptions in compliance with policies, rules and regulations
• Keep inventories at pharmacy according to plan and without expired medications.
• Service calls from patients, doctors and institutions served.
• Manage invoices thru Prime Rx System
• Assure completeness of authorizations before dispensing drugs
• Any other duties assigned as part of the role and operations needs

Experience:

• Minimum of 3-5 years in related organization or field
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Internet experience.
• Must be able to communicate effectively (read, speak, and write) in English and Spanish. (Preferred)
• Attention to detail; organizational skills; interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Customer and patient service orientation
• Teamwork Builder

Preferred but not required:

• Prime Rx Platform Experience
• Knowledge of PBM clinical operations

Education:

• Candidate must have an Associate Degree as Pharmacy Technician
• Prime Rx Pharmacy Platform knowledge is desire
• At least 1-2 years’ experience Infusion Pharmacy (Preferred)
