This is a Per Diem position in our Acute and the SNU department in the main OV Hospital.

Job Summary

Assists a Physical Therapist with a patient's rehabilitative activities to help reduce pain and improve mobility. Assists in exercise instruction and demonstration, patient evaluation and testing. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A limited degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a physical therapist. Associate's degree from an accredited program and licensure as a physical therapist assistant, bachelors degree preferred but not necessary. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

This particular therapy Assistant will primarily be used in acute care but may be asked to float to the Skilled Nursing Unit (SNU) or the In patient Rehab unit. Documentation is all done in Cerner and orientations would be done on all units to be worked on.

Requirements

Associate's degree from an accredited program and licensure as a physical therapist assistant, bachelors degree preferred but not required. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
