Title

Post Harvest Specialist

Purpose

Post Harvest Specialists perform a variety of critical tasks related to processing cannabis and producing pre-rolled joints and blunts. This task includes harvesting, trimming, bucking, packaging product, and rolling joints and blunts. Most days Post Harvest Specialists work in a team environment at a trim table or rolling table. Post Harvest Specialists report to their Post Harvest Lead.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with harvesting cannabis.

• Trim and quality control bud.

• Bucking bud (removing the bud from the stems).

• Roll blunts and joints.

• Maintain a clean workplace.

• Assist in the cultivation as needed (for example transplanting, moving plants, and cleaning grow rooms).

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Works well in a team environment.

• Reliable transportation to De Beque.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Prior experience in commercial cannabis (or related industry).

• Applicants must have a MED occupational badge.

• Physically able to work with hands all day, crouch, bend over and regularly lift up to 30lbs

Compensation:

• Starting pay is $16.50 hr.

• MED Badge renewal fee reimbursement.

• After one year of continual employment, employee will receive the following:

• Paid time off accruing at a rate of 1 hour for every 10 hours worked. PTO accrues and rolls forward from year to year. Once 80 hours are accrued in the PTO bank, no more time will accrue until PTO is used. This plan comes to roughly 24 days of PTO a year.

• Enrollment in The Flower Collective’s revenue sharing program after 1 year of continuous employment. Typically employees receive $800 - $1200 every 3 months through this program. As sales increase, this bonus increases.
