The Pricing Business Partner (PBP) will be the liaison between the district, customer group, and headquarter pricing departments ensuring national alignment and escalating pricing concerns as they present themselves. The PBP is responsible for engaging with district leaders to identify and co-lead opportunities to spur profitable growth through pricing local actions.
The PBP role will report to the HQ leader of Pricing with dotted-line responsibility into the district or customer group. The PBP is responsible for driving best practices, consistency, influencing others through pricing expertise, and balancing multiple, competing priorities. PBPs will regularly engage with branch leaders, product managers, sales, and district operations leadership to gather insights and learnings to incorporate back into our national pricing strategy.
Responsibilities include:
- Implementation and driving adoption of consistent pricing processes with Sales Mangers, Branch Managers, and Ops Managers
- Ensuring alignment and compliance with strategic pricing initiatives across districts/warehouses within a district.
- Working closely with Directors, Pricing and Execution, and Customer Groups to ensure alignment with sales, strategies, and pricing practices.
- Maintaining product knowledge and awareness of current economic conditions and industry pricing practices, particularly for major competitors and distributors
- Building price capability across the district including coaching district stakeholders on key pricing topics and identifying opportunities to share pricing best practice
Requirements:
- 5+ years of pricing experience
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes and drive best practices in a matrixed environment
- Willingness and ability to travel across the district
