The Process Engineer is responsible to support the operations and maintenance of new battery materials processing equipment. Specifically, the unit processes for chemical vapor deposition (CVD). This individual will help develop and optimize unit operations and process conditions.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Exercise process safety fundamentals to ensure safe production including Standard Operating Procedures, and LOTO.
- Carry out process development studies towards scale up and commercialization of materials for using CVD process.
- Lead efforts to optimize process parameters and procedures for both batch and continuous processes.
- Investigate operational up-sets and off-spec product for understanding and process improvement using various established root cause analysis tools.
- Support capital project efforts with advice and design requirements.
- Work with the R&D team to develop solutions to problems and improving production throughput, cost, product quality and process safety.
- Support thermal processes in excess of 350 °C.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering/other engineering degree or equivalent work experience.
- Candidate must have 5+ years of experience in chemical process operations.
OTHER QUALITIES WE’D LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE:
Prior experience at both large and startup companies.
- Experience in bulk solids handling.
- Experience with Process Safety Managed facilities.
- Experience working with Silane.

The base pay range for this role is $85,000 to $110,000. Actual pay depends on various factors, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills.
