We are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Process Technician in our downstream/recovery lab in Palo Alto, CA at the Genencor® Technology Center. In this role you will be part of a team applying cutting edge biotechnology to address customer needs in a wide range of industrial applications. This position includes a $1000.00 sign on bonus.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Relevant laboratory or pilot plant experience. (Experience with in a GMP environment is a plus)
• A high school diploma with relevant experience or associate’s degree in a technical or sciences field
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work and collaborate with a team
• Basic computer skills. (Experience with computer-based process control systems a plus)
• Strong communication skills and a sense of self-motivation.
• Ability to prioritize and troubleshoot issues under pressure.

Role Requirements:

• This position will be in our small scale and pilot plant recovery labs that supports the development of R&D projects during the day shift (0600-1400).
• As part of a team, this person will be responsible for the operation of various downstream unit operations and proper documentation.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to increase quality and service levels, improve process safety, efficiency, and reliability.
• Provide lab support on weekend shifts and overtime when required
• Ability to lift 50 pounds

Pay: Up to $69,870.00 per year

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Experience:

• Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred)
• Industrial laboratory: 1 year (Required)
