Job description
- Assist the programs with analytical and statistical clinical reports and maintaining records as needed.
- Assist in the STD clinic providing support to medical providers including chaperone, specimen transport to lab, and assisting with lab reports.
- File and maintain surveillance records from outside providers.
- Record and distribute staff meeting minutes to appropriate staff.
- Assists with updating policies and procedures for the Communicable Disease Branch (STI and EPI) as needed.
- Cross-train as EPI Medical Office Assistant.
- Completes home visits as necessary.
Successful completion of a Keyboarding on-line assessment will be required. Candidates selected as qualified will be contacted via email by Human Resources for testing.

- Considerable knowledge of clerical work in a medical office and must be familiar with general office procedures.
- Ability to work independently, work with a team and be multi-tasked.
- Must be computer literate and knowledgeable in the use of general office machines and equipment.
- Employee must follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain confidentially.
Must have or obtain and maintain a valid North Carolina driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Background check and negative drug test are required.
