Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Services Engineer

This position would work out of our new Minneapolis Campus (across from Mall of America)

POSITION SUMMARY:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and oversight of submitted engineering drawings/specifications. Maintain, and review component datasheets, and determine appropriate master data for submitted parts.
- Review and release of material items and associated BOMs in full compliance with master data, quality, company standards and guidelines including compliance with national and international regulatory requirements.
- Ensure proper processing of Engineering Change Requests and Engineering Change Notifications, including reviews for master data accuracy and implementation workflows configuration.
- With direction, assist various departments in the formatting and creation of master data processes and procedures.
- Contribute to assigned project teams involving cross-functional participants.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations peers to ensure the right course of action is being taken, and the proper procedures are being followed for assigned task.
- Develop a working knowledge of SICK products, and engineering design processes.
- Participate in internal audits of various functions, document results, and initiate necessary corrective actions.
- Regular reporting to local management.
- Carry out other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field OR equivalent experience in related field.
- 0+ years of experience in product lifecycle management and engineering services.
- Basic understanding of document control systems.

- Must be a self-starter and able to adapt quickly to rapid change.
- Strong analytical, design, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to balance workload to keep multiple tasks progressing to competition.
- Ability to thoroughly understand technical issues and provide solutions to resolve issues.
- General knowledge of SAP software or comparable system and master data management procedures.
- General knowledge of Solidworks CAD software or comparable system.
- General knowledge of drafting standards and tolerances.
- Ability to travel up to 5-10% of the time both domestically and internationally.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Internet applications.
- Ability and willingness to work alternative schedules including weekend, and on-call hours as needed.
- Legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Ability to work in a general office environment.
