Remote salmon processing facility in Bristol Bay Alaska looking for an experienced and motivated line mechanic. Coffee Point Seafoods operates two seasonal salmon plants on the north beach of the Egegik River, the season runs May-August. Due to COVID-19 risk to employees and communities anyone hired to work and live in our communal Alaska operations must either be vaccinated pre-hire or agree to be vaccinated once on site.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Seasonal employment running (approx.) early May until early August.

Responsible for maintaining, repairing and installation of Ryco salmon processing machinery and other fish processing equipment including but not limited to: food grade conveyors, processing pumps, grinders and a variety of seafood processing equipment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Previous experience with Salmon processing equipment. Experience with Ryco heading and gutting equipment, particularly 225 headers & 643 gutters. Experience with hydraulic systems. Welding experience preferred. Self-directed, well organized and comfortable in a diverse living and working environment. Willing to work in a remote location under, at times, challenging conditions.

COMPENSATION:

$335/Day, Season completion bonus maybe available.
