The Hartford Yard Goats, the Class Double-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, are seeking hard working, goal-oriented individuals for the 2023 Double-A Eastern League season. Our success is measured by the consistent delivery of a fun and entertaining experience for our fans, the community, and our players. The Hartford Yard Goats Professional Development Senior Associate Program will provide a great opportunity for individuals looking to immerse themselves in a full-service, industry-leading sports and entertainment venue. The Yard Goats are looking for dedicated, dynamic individuals who are enthusiastic and possess a wide-range of skills, and who are equipped to handle a variety of day-to-day operational tasks while working to create a positive, fun-filled environment for our fans, staff and partners. Bilingual in Spanish is a strong plus.

This opportunity is an optimal way to get your foot in the door, learn about Minor League Baseball, and deepen experience in the fields of sport management, hospitality, and entertainment. You will gain hands-on experience with a specific department as an integral member of the department team for the 2023 campaign. Senior Associates will collaborate with the entire Front Office team, including marketing and promotions, corporate and group sales, box office and ticket operations, customer and guest service, community partnerships, and merchandise, to name a few. Additionally, Senior Associate Program participants will also have direct exposure to members of the executive and senior management teams and the ownership group.

The Hartford Yard Goats Professional Development Program is a paid position. You will work up to 30 hours per week between office hours, Yard Goats Home Games, and outside events. The Senior Associate position will begin in January. Participation through the end September is ideal. The application deadline for the January 2023 cohort is Friday, December 2, 2022.

You will be an integral member of the Yard Goats Front Office team in one of the following areas:

• Corporate & Group Tickets – you will assist with outreach and fulfillment of corporate, organizational, and non-profit package, hospitality, and group sales.
• Sponsorship Activation & Fulfillment - you will assist in activating assets of current partnerships and the outreach and fulfillment of new partnerships,
• Stadium Events - you will assist with outreach and fulfillment of ballpark events outside of Yard Goats Home Games.
• Stadium Operations - you will assist with facility maintenance and various other facility-based tasks and critical functions.

Additionally, you may get organic exposure in the following areas as a Senior Associate:

• Website & Social Media Management – you will assist with the development of team and player information on a daily basis in order to help maintain an up-to-date digital footprint. This may involve player stats, photographs, video, blog entries or just general information.
• Promotions & Marketing – you will assist with in-game promotions, fan engagement and appreciation activities, planning and executing promotional theme nights, player and mascot appearances, and assorted other Game Day promotional activities.
• Game Day Team – you will execute the Game Day activities for home games working across the full spectrum of Game Day roles.
• Community Partnerships – you will assist with initiatives that benefit our community inside and outside of baseball games.
