Primary Responsibilities:

Admissions

  • Develops a broad understanding of the Aspire Leaders Program, its benefits, and the audience it serves.
  • Answers emails from current and prospective students.
  • Co-hosts virtual program info sessions.
  • Reviews program applications and assist in the processing of applications.
  • Prepares admissions funnel and applicant demographic reports.
  • Assists in the development and management of a database of Aspire Institute students and alumni.

Flagship Program Planning and Delivery

  • Assists in developing, coordinating, and disseminating program communications.
  • Coordinates and schedules program events on Zoom and the Aspire CRM.
  • Co-hosts virtual program events such as faculty seminars and webinars.
  • Evaluates and monitors the effectiveness of programs/services and identify problems, recommend improvements, and institutes changes.
  • Performs other related duties as needed.

Alumni Programs

  • Assists in developing, coordinating, and communicating around all alumni programs: Community Action Awards, Academic & Personal Development Grants, and Mentorships.
  • Works with program team to conduct coaching sessions to ensure students' seamless transition from flagship programs into appropriate alumni programs.
  • Organizes and coordinates alumni functions in various countries and develops strategies with the Aspire Institute team to engage alumni.
  • Provides alumni with personalized guidance, pertinent career and college information, and reminders about upcoming events.
  • Coordinates with partner organizations as needed to host virtual and in-person alumni events.
  • Works with the Executive Director and other staff to assure coordination and development of total alumni relations program; recommends long and short-range goals and overall direction of alumni programs. ·
  • Promotes and fosters effective alumni relations through continuing written communication and personal contact with constituent groups.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, International Studies, or related field required.
  • 2-3 years of work experience in higher education, non-profit, human services, or related field required.
  • A strong commitment to the mission of Aspire Institute.
  • The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver who is comfortable in a fast‐paced, changing, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Top-notch organizational and planning abilities.
  • Computer proficiency: Google suite, CRM experience, and Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • A resourceful style with the ability to work independently, take the initiative, and manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, written and verbal communication skills.
  • An ability to network and build relationships.
  • Foreign language skills is a plus.

Physical Requirements and Working Environment:

  • Good visual acuity sufficient to see and interpret all job-related materials.
  • Required to sit at a workstation/computer for extended periods of time and keyboard for large portions of the day; ability to perform repetitive motion tasks.
  • This role is performed in a hybrid office environment. Remote work is performed Monday and Friday and in-person Tuesdays-Thursdays in Cambridge, MA.
  • Working some nights and weekends is anticipated.
