Summary
Accountable for all aspects of office daily operations including intake, staff training, financial and accounting reports. Will supervise all aspects of special projects for ILS. Responsible for ensuring compliance with Catholic Charities of Dallas policies and procedures and the minimum standards set forth by any accreditation agency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works with Director to develop business strategies and client services
- Assists in the oversight of daily operations, including appointment scheduling, database entry, and daily closing
- Provides direct supervision of assigned case manager/ attorney
- Evaluates appointment procedures and client services; ensures all staff are booked for efficiency
- Coaches staff to ensure they receive adequate legal training and receive accreditation in a timely manner
- Will manage assigned special projects for ILS – including supervision of summer interns and volunteers, workshops, clinics, among others.
- Responsible for coordination, assignment, and conducting outreach events
- Attends immigration training seminars and read daily immigration law updates to remain abreast of the immigration law and procedures
- Ensures program is prepared for annual audits and monitor visits by reviewing all case files and documentation.
- Responsible for program specific grant monitoring, reporting and compliance.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Prepares monthly and quarterly reports as designated by the Director
- Adheres to agency and professional code of ethics
- Supports the Mission, Values, and Vision of Catholic Charities
EDUCATION & TRAINING:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Full accreditation by Department of Justice or license to practice law required.
- Three years immigration experience required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to effectively interact with individuals from diverse cultures and ethnicities.
- Computer literate and experience with MS Office suite of products.
- Strong organizational and time management skills required.
