POSITION PURPOSE: This position provides program and project analysis and management support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide customized business-focused objective advice, expertise and specialist skills to create value and improve business strategy, internal processes and performance.
- Support development of plans and procedural documentation in support of executing decisions related to administrative support, budget and financial administration, procurement, information technology and human resource management.
- Assist with devising and implementing performance measures and related processes.
- Provide advice and support in the area of performance management.
- Support program start-up activities such as work product prioritization, program incentives, and recognition mechanisms, working group coordination, and metrics development.
- Create internal policies, standard operating procedures, CONOPS, and project plans to support program planning implementation.
Education

BA/BS in a relevant field public policy, communications or public affairs, industrial engineering, business and administration, management of information systems, etc.)

Experience*
*
Familiarity with DHS’s current business processes, IT systems, current internal control environment, and the political realities that influence the implementation of solutions.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience:
- Providing customized business-focused objective advice, expertise and specialist skills to create value and improve business strategy, internal processes and performance.
- Supporting development of plans and procedural documentation in support of executing decisions related to administrative support, budget and financial administration, procurement, information technology and human resource management.
- Assisting with devising and implementing performance measures and related processes.
- Providing advice and support in the area of performance management.
- Previous DHS experience desired
- Cybersecurity, Infrastructure protection, and/or risk policy experience in government or private sector desired

Current drivers’ license unencumbered or ability to transport between different work locations
- Currently holds, or is able to obtain, DHS Fitness Determination

- Must have ability to communicate verbally and in written form effectively, and the ability to work within U.S. Government contractual realm. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Excellent telephone skills and knowledge of working with customers & vendors.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual will have knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $83,000.00 per year
