Duties Description
Under the general guidance of the Human Resources Management System Director and reporting directly to the HRMS Deputy Director, the Business Quality Assurance Coordinator will lead State efforts to ensure that the delivered enterprise system meets the business goals and objectives of the HRMS consortium agencies (DCS, OGS, OER, ITS and DOB). This includes leading the HRMS Business Quality Assurance Team and working with the System Integrator on business requirements documentation, quality assurance activities, business process redesign, and organizational change management.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Day-to-day management/supervision of the State HRMS Business Quality Assurance Team including making assignments, guiding progress, taking action to ensure product quality, and working with staff to identify professional development and training opportunities
  • Working with the System Integrator to ensure agency business needs are thoughtfully and adequately documented and considered in system design and development
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of the project’s system user acceptance testing by agency staff
  • Participating in Core Business Area (CBA) Workgroup activities and coordinating project team communications to CBA workgroup leads and subject matter experts
  • Overseeing business analyses supporting legacy data conversion, system integrations, project change requests and customization cost-benefit analyses
  • Overseeing business analysis and other assignments supporting business process redesign efforts to capture efficiencies and minimize system customization, and organizational change management activities to ensure system adoption by end users
  • Assisting the HRMS Project Director and Deputy Director with review of the System Integrator’s deliverables as needed
  • Working closely with the HRMS project management group to maintain areas of the project schedule related to the Business Quality Assurance Team’s work
  • Providing weekly status updates on the Team’s work to project leadership and the project management team
  • Identifying project risks, recommending mitigation strategies, and working with project leadership to proactively manage risks and issues
  • Participating in HRMS governance meetings as required
