Project Manager
Job description
Judd Fire Protection LLC - A Fire Sprinkler contactor for over 30 years! We are seeking a project manager to oversee the full life cycle of our small-scale projects which include tenant fit-outs and residential projects. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, great communication and organizational skills.
General Responsibilities:
- Will be responsible for the management of multiple small-scale projects (tenant fit-out and residential projects).
- Oversee project progression from inception to completion including design, permits, material delivery, labor planning, field installation, etc.
- Ensure proper documentation throughout the project’s lifecycle including RFIs, letters of transmittals, permits, change orders, final closeout requirements, etc.
- Effectively communicate project progress, issues and financial status of projects.
- Analysis and preparation of billings within project scope.
- Recognize and assist with Change Order research and development. Provide in-house estimating and proposals as needed.
- Proactive in recognizing and managing risks and actively participate in creative solutions.
- Ensure the safety protocols are being implemented and are in compliance with both company and project requirements.
- Understand the project scope and complete jobs within budget.
- Review and update job status and cost to completion, at least once per month, and more often on active projects.
- Participate in meetings with contracts administration, field supervision and engineering departments to review all on-going projects.
- Assist with the project schedule.
Education/Certification:
- Minimum of High School Diploma/GED
Experience/Requirements:
- Knowledge of NFPA 13D, 13R, 13, 14 and NFPA 20
- Proficiency in CPVC/copper/steel piping systems
- Ability to read/interpret blueprints
- Must understand fire sprinkler codes, technical data, and installation instructions
- Proficient with mobile technology (Smartphone/Tablet/Email/Texting)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
