Minnesota Millwork & Fixture is the industry leader with over 30 years of experience serving the hospitality, restaurant, entertainment, and retail sectors. Job Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion, to customer's expectations, and within budget. Key responsibilities include planning and designating project resources, preparing budgets, monitoring progress, and keeping stakeholders informed the entire way.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Provide Excellent Customer Service and Experience.
  • Deep Dive into the project to understand the scope and elements of the project.
  • Understand the contract and requirements (insurance, payment submissions, delivery instructions)
  • Create Critical Milestone List
  • Identify essential purchases and prepayments with purchasing agent
  • Identify areas for long lead times (materials, drawings, etc.) communicated by the purchasing agent and pass along information to customer/team
  • Review the architectural designs with the Engineering Manager to ensure accuracy and completeness of project scope (all elements and fixtures are covered). Follow up as needed to ensure timeliness.
  • Identify field measurements and constraints that would impact the design and delivery of the project.
  • Work with accounting to ensure progress billing is done on a timely basis.
  • Review work orders as necessary for completeness and accuracy.
  • Manage assigned projects to ensure optimal profitability through effective planning and monitoring of projects.
  • Review customer specifications with estimators for accuracy
  • Determine production timing/prioritization through planning with Engineering/Production and work with these teams on establishing project milestones
  • Communicate and update on project scope changes, and identify and communicate project changes that impact the customer
  • Attend production meetings as required
  • Work on-site in our Lonsdale, MN
  • Other duties may be assigned based on department or company business needs

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in building construction, civil engineering or architecture, or certification in project management from an accredited higher education institution and/or at least three (3) years experience in project management within the construction field (preferred)
  • Comfortable reading and understanding blueprints and drawing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer software
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles
  • Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs
  • A high degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions
  • Demonstrate excellence in customer service skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Own issues, problem solve, learn!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
