Job Summary

Dotdash Meredith Video seeks a passionate Freelance Prop Stylist to join our Birmingham operations team to add their magic touch to our video content for our leading brands.

The prop stylist will work closely with video producers and production crew to collaborate and conceptualize shoots for branded content and series. The Prop Stylist will choose props and accessories to create beautiful set design or backgrounds to achieve a brand’s aesthetic for digital video and photo shoots. The ideal candidate will have experience with product styling and set design, and a great understanding of teamwork, organization, and being able to work in a fast pace environment.

This will be a Project Based Freelance position.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with our video producer to design consistent, high-quality videos that support the brands image.
• Create and execute conceptual themes for digital video.
• Provide a visual document for producer or clients if requested
• Source, Prepare, and Arrange props before production
• Mix prop colors and textures to enhance creative
• Perform Prop Styling duties including styling a table top or building a small set
• Provide on-set styling services during production
• Keep studio area clean and organize accessories, clothing, and props during production
• Adhere by Brand’s Style Guide

Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements

• +3 Year Experience of Styling Experience
• Preferred Experience in Set design, Styling table tops. Interior design, Visual Merchandising, and/or Fashion Styling.
• Strong sense of design and style for editorial and digital video and photography.
• Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills
• Must be able to carry up to 40lbs
• Bring innovative ideas and techniques to enhance production
• A superb eye for visual composition
• Extraordinary attention to detail'
