The Turner Company is looking for an experience Purchasing Agent to join our team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Purchasing Agent is responsible for purchasing product for all areas of operations.

  • Obtains quotations from approved and competitive sources
  • Negotiates pricing
  • Purchases raw materials and production supplies from approved suppliers
  • Purchases miscellaneous items
  • Coordinate approval of vendor specs with Quality Department
  • Approves new suppliers according to procedure, including on site visits for audit where required
  • Ensures that suppliers follow Company supplier guidelines and standards
  • Clearly defines order requirements on the purchase orders
  • Communicates purchase order discrepancies or supplier difficulties to the affected staff
  • Track the status of any orders
  • Review deliveries against the orders
  • Communicates and follow up on late or missed deliveries
  • Deal with non-supplied, under orders, over orders and damaged goods
  • Ensures that the correct material certification is referenced and obtained from the supplier
  • Ensure that any invoices are sent to accounts for payment.
  • Provides quarterly summaries and analysis of all purchases
  • Assist in any other areas as required

Requirements

- 3 years experience in Manufacturing Purchasing

- Experience with E&P software

- Excellent communications skills: interpersonal, listening, oral, and written

- Able to work with minimal supervision, strong multitasking skills and efficiently schedule and manage time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
