JOB SUMMARY:
The Purchasing Coordinator is a full-time position that is responsible for providing packaging material inventory. They will support production through processing, organization, inventory counting, reporting, and logistical coordination between parties.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specifically, the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following activities:
- Process purchase orders, run reports, and other inventory transactions using ERP
- Schedule, submit, and track material releases
- Coordinate shipments between suppliers and receiving department
- Prepare and maintain inventory reports for review
- Process keg and pallet returns
- Monitor keg float
- Conduct packaging material inventory counts and reconcile in ERP
- Coordinate with warehouse team to effectively maintain clean and organized material warehouse space
- Work with key personnel to effectively implement improvements
- Operate and drive forklift to conduct inventory counts and assist in material logistics
- Communicate with suppliers, team, and management
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or manufacturing operations preferred
- Ability to communicate with suppliers, co-workers, and management
- Strong organizational skills, flexible and energetic with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to utilize ERP and MRP systems
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, ability to be proactive and have a positive attitude
- Strong customer service skills
