Purchasing Manager
Job summary:
Purchasing Manager will oversee all aspects of the purchasing department. Mange purchasing process and provides feedback and ideas on improvements to the process. Create metrics and track on-time deliveries of product. Keep and maintain a professional relationship with all vendors
Management Responsibilities:
· Provides leadership and guidance to purchasing personnel
· Directs assigned tasks and provide assistance as needed
· Conduct Performance evaluations on reports
Responsibilities:
· Manage the purchasing process including the buying, selling and distribution aspects of the company
· Maintain Inventory levels set by min/max process
· Analyze the existing purchasing process for performance
· Implement improvements to existing purchasing processes and delivery systems
· Evaluate vendors based on quality, timeliness, and price
· Build metrics based on on-time and past-due purchase orders
· Coordinate with manufacturing personnel to monitor inventory and determine supply needs.
· Create and maintain a professional relationship with vendors
· Performs other related duties as assigned
· Train direct reports on any new policies or procedures
· Analyze Open Orders for min/max levels.
Requirements:
· Must pass Drug Screen/Background check
· Purchasing Manager experience: 10 years preferred, 5 years a must
· High school diploma/GED required
· Bachelor’s degree preferred (will consider experience in lieu of degree)
· Manufacturing industry experience – oil and gas industry preferred
· Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Must be detailed oriented and be proficient in computer software such as Microsoft office products, especially Excel.
· Build a positive relationship with suppliers, field personnel, and coworkers
· Must have a courteous and positive attitude, also have a sense of urgency, drive, pride and desire to succeed
· Excellent problem-solving and recordkeeping skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
