Summary:

The Quality Improvement department provides knowledge, support, and guidance to Confluence Health on the quality of care provided through the translation of data into operational improvement and action. Through inquiry, study, and application of best practice standards, the Quality Analyst reviews performance, safety, and clinical information to effectively determine opportunities to improve patient outcomes and/or operational functions. This position functions under the supervision of the Quality Analytics Manager and Director.


Position Reports To:
Manager - Quality Reporting

Essential Functions:
  • Partner with Quality team members in the maintenance of an organizational performance measurement system
  • Assist in the compilation and maintenance of reports, dashboards, scorecards, etc. using statistical tools and techniques
  • Conduct focused studies including, data abstraction, trend and risk analysis as directed
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives as directed utilizing LEAN methodology
  • Understand the operational implications of measuring patient safety, core measures, readmissions, hospital acquired conditions, mortality, complications and other performance improvement initiatives
  • Monitor and analyze patient experience data submission and results.
  • Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills, time management skills, as well as having a strong customer oriented focus
  • Work with and coordinate across multi-disciplinary groups
  • Effectively utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Statistical Graphics
  • Demonstrate the following traits: creative, open to new challenges, driven by looking for opportunities to improve delivery of quality
    patient care
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and multi-tasking skills
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:
For employees working on site at any CH location, being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is an essential requirement.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience working in a professional setting.
  • Recent experience in EPIC BI reporting, reporting workbench, Clarity, SEQL, and other reporting tools.
Desired:
  • Leadership/participation in quaility improvement programs and initiatives.
