Independent Opportunities Inc. is currently seeking qualified applications for our Quality Assurance Coordinator to be based in our Columbia, TN office.

Responsibilities and Duties

A. Quality Assurance

  • Assist in preparation of the agency for the annual QA review by the state. This includes assisting in home visits, agency procedure, and process review and other issues related to the review
  • Assist in representing the Agency during the review period through interface with reviewers and assisting with information they might need
  • In conjunction with the QA Director make announced and unannounced visits to homes to review records and environmental conditions
  • Tracking all home visits for the Local offices by utilizing the current system, in order to ensure compliance with the supervision clan
  • Assist in on-going monitoring of the Quality Assurance plan
  • As needed, assist in the provision of training to staff
  • On-going monitoring of personal and Provider records to ensure quality of records is maintained
  • Other duties as needed

B. Advocacy

  • Serve as Incident Management Coordinator for the offices are and provide back-up as needed for other agency Incident Management committees.
  • Maintain, follow up, log, and assist in agency investigations
  • With oversight be the QA Director, assist as needed in responding to investigations of abuse/neglect incidents
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelors degree preferred - but additional years of experience may substitute for degree
  • Two years of experience in the human services field
  • Working knowledge and experience with Medicaid Waiver and State of Tennessee policies preferred
  • Excellent writing skills

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
