Quality Assurance Manager

• Injection molding plastics organization with 3 locations nationwide is hiring a Quality Manager to oversee the consumer products division

JOB SUMMARY

• Will work with all levels of the organization to ensure continuous compliance and improvement of Quality across the organization.
• Manage, mentor, and provide strategic direction to staff.
• Organize, plan, and direct the Administrative Activities required for operational measurement and budgets.
  

Responsibilities :

• Manage or make recommendations for resource allocations to implement plant-wide
• Monitor and report on Manufacturing process and Quality Management system performance opportunities and work with the organization towards improvements
• Help develop and manage the annual Capital Budget
• Help develop and manage the annual Cost Reduction Budget
• Perform special projects as required
• Coordinate the development and management of the quality system
• Coordinate resource allocations between assessment and corrective activities
• Designated ISO representative
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, Operations Management or similar.
• 5+ years manufacturing in quality leadership; managing quality systems for a plastic, consumer products, metals or related industry preferred
• PCQI and ASQ certified is preferred
• Prefer experience with implementing programs, writing SOP’s, and improving the Quality Assurance team and systems
• Hands-on, strong organizational and administrative skills
• Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, six-sigma or other continuous improvement tools
• Detailed oriented, good attitude, the ability to influence others and lead/direct others through training initiatives
• Computer literate in spreadsheet, and word applications; SAP experience is preferred
