The Gloucester Marine Terminal is operated by Gloucester Terminals LLC and offers stevedoring and break bulk services. The terminal, located in the Port of Philadelphia has direct access to highways as well as three rail lines that transit across the United States and Canada, providing unrivaled turnaround times for our partners.As a Quality Control Team Member, you'll will be responsible for performing inspections, checks, and tests on product to provide reports to customers on standards of quality, condition, and grade of product. Seeking a person with experience to fill a full time position. Pay based on experience.
Responsibilities & Job Duties:
- Inspect incoming shipments for quality, grade and condition according to specification sheets.
- Utilize software to collect data on tablet or computer.
- Work in conjunction with management to identify and address food safety concerns.
- Keep all work areas clean, clear and organized.
- Work hand in hand with expediting for timely product movement.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Open work availability, schedules change due to the vessels working schedule.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in produce quality control preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Team player with ability to be adaptable and flexible in a fast paced continuously changing environment.
- Must be dependable and reliable and have strong interpersonal relation skills.
- Able to lift up to 18-40 pounds.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and supply own transportation with liability insurance coverage.
- Able to work quickly on tablets to input data.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Able to work in US without work visa
- Spanish speaking is a plus
- High School diploma or equivalent.
