Responsible for oversight of pharmacy related health plan activities in order to modify prescription utilization and optimize therapeutic outcomes across all lines of business.

Job Responsibilities
- Leads in planning and implementing clinical programs and services as well as preparing for the corporate Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Committee meetings as necessary.
- Serves as a clinical resource and drug information specialist to medical, pharmacy, & nursing staff as well as to allied healthcare providers internally and externally.
- Drives strategies with physicians, pharmacists and other health care providers as well as with multi-disciplinary teams across department lines to meet plans quality management, organizational and operational goals.
- Has knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibility.
Job Qualifications
Education
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Degree
Experience
- 7 years - Clinical experience required, and/or completion of 1 year residency and/or board certification
Skills\Certifications
- Proven priority-setting and project management skills
- Must be a team player, be organized and have the ability to handle multiple projects
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Competency in compendia navigation and research
- Solid understanding of regulatory guidelines (FDA, NCQA, EQRO, CMS) required
- Knowledge of medical and pharmacy products
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
License
- Licensed in Tennessee to practice Pharmacy, or eligible for licensure in the state of Tennessee to practice Pharmacy
Job Specific Requirements:
Preference will be given to candidates with a varied work experience including Hospital, Provider office, retail and/or Healthplan Pharmacy.
