Wellesley Country Club is a family-oriented, member owned club situated 20 minutes west of Boston. Founded in 1910 the Club combines the best of both one hundred years of tradition and modern country club life. The Club offers a wide variety of recreational activities including an 18-hole Donald Ross course, a 6-hole short course, six outdoor clay tennis courts, four paddle courts and a swimming pool complex. To further enhance the member experience, a state-of-the-art indoor racquets facility with four indoor tennis courts, two golf simulators and a member lounge is scheduled to open in November 2022. Wellesley Country Club is committed to member and employee excellence.

The Pro Shop Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Pro Shop. The candidate should possess a background in business and marketing, have knowledge of the games of tennis, pickleball and paddle and deliver excellent customer service. The candidate needs to have excellent organizational and communication skills and must be able to work two or three shifts Monday through Friday from 4 pm to 7 pm and Saturday or Sunday from 8 am to 5 pm. They must be self-motivated, show initiative and be able to work both independently and within a team. This position reports to the Pro-Shop Manager.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Excellent communication, people, and sales skills.
• Computer skills to include knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, email platforms, and social media.
• Willingness to learn basic knowledge of tennis, pickleball and paddle.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Background in retail, sporting goods preferred.

· Experience within the racquets industry preferred.
