Apex Leadership Co. is currently seeking a Recreation Team Lead to join their team today in Schaumburg, IL!

WE ARE URGENTLY HIRING!

Job Summary:

Apex Team Leads are role models of encouragement and fun! As an Apex Team Lead, you will work in various elementary schools for 2-week periods to inspire kids by delivering daily leadership and character lessons. You will help set up and execute an exciting pep rally and a fitness focused final event known as the Fun Run. Our goal is to provide a healthy alternative to fundraising for schools while teaching kids about leadership, fitness, and positive character traits.

Apex Team Leads are on campus at local elementary and middle schools for 2-week program periods to inspire kids. You will be at a new school every two weeks for the entire school year.

Here is an example of the typical 2-week program schedule:

Week 1

• Monday: Teacher Huddle
• Tuesday: Pep Rally
• Wednesday: In-Class Fearless Lesson
• Thursday: In-Class Adapt Lesson
• Friday: In-Class Care Lesson

Week 2

• Monday: In-Class Talk ’Em Up Lesson
• Tuesday: In-Class Original Lesson
• Wednesday: In-Class Realize Lesson
• Thursday: FUN RUN Event Day
• Friday: Wrap Up Day

Job Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00AM - 3:00PM or 4:00PM

Responsibilities:

• Serve as primary contact for Teachers and Administrators while striving to make their jobs easier.
• Responsible for the school program from Teacher Huddle to Follow-Up Day
• Train new and existing team members on Apex program
• Inspire kids and be an excellent role model at all times.
• Teach Leadership Lessons and interact with students during lunch/recess and PE with over-the-top enthusiasm.
• Set up and tear down equipment needed for each aspect of the program.
• Assist with pulling and managing inventory counts for each program.

Requirements:

• 1+ year(s) of experience in a leadership role preferred
• 1+ year(s) of experience in a recreation services role preferred
• 1+ year(s) of experience in program management preferred
• Valid Driver’s License preferred
• Able to occasionally lift, pull and move up to 50 pounds
• Must have consistent access to a form of transportation
• Ability to connect with kids and patience when dealing with students of varying abilities and backgrounds
• Interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication
• Problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain focus and control in chaotic environments
• Resourceful and able to modify instructions as needed for students
