Our Talent Acquisition team is growing!

The Recruiter will be responsible for driving recruiting strategies and stakeholder engagement across assigned business areas. This is a full life cycle recruitment position supporting our Cedar Rapids Region. This entails sourcing and screening candidates, managing open positions, partnering with hiring leaders throughout the recruitment life cycle, and closing candidates, all while ensuring candidates have a best-in-class experience.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment

  • Establishes recruiting strategies to attract and retain qualified candidates for assigned positions.
  • Leverages varied recruiting platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, Social Media) and strategies (creative marketing, diversity outlets, recruiting events) to develop candidate pipeline and market UPH opportunities.
  • Facilitates position intake meetings with hiring leaders to confirm/calibrate position requirements and develop recruiting strategy.
  • Responsible for closing candidates (internal/external) while ensuring departmental pay equity, and compliance with affirmative action standards.
  • Responsible for on-going process improvements in recruitment, onboarding, employment, and diversity.
  • Participates in community outreach as a representative of UnityPoint Health in the way of mock interviewing, resumes writing seminars, junior and high school presentations,
  • Builds relationships and partnerships with talent acquisition team members system-wide to share in strategy, best practice and further solidify a one team Partners across the recruiting team to share requisition & candidate information, align recruitment approaches, and work together to share candidate slates to ensure hiring and placing candidates in the right roles and locations, as well as to avoid competing against each other in similar markets (e.g. college recruiting, like roles, top talent, etc)
  • Develops, participates and drives projects and initiatives both within region and across the system to provide exposure, career growth, visibility, and opportunities to team members. This may include projects around candidate pipelines that can be replicated in other regions, work study/internship programs, or affirmative action planning requests
Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Equivalent of Associates Degree with 3+ years of talent acquisition/recruiter experience.


Experience

  • 1+ year of experience in a recruiting role or experience in a related position with emphasis in recruiting
  • Knowledge or experience in recruiting strategies, recruitment processes or talent sourcing.
  • Knowledge for HRIS/Recruiting technologies such as: Lawson or iCIMS.
  • Experience with MS Office (outlook, excel).
  • Experience with clinical (RN) recruiting preferred.
