Goals

We are an international, multicultural and strongly growing company with offices in multiple countries around the world. In your role you will manage assigned sales projects to ensure the increase of revenue and growth of our market share within the emergency logistics segment in the Americas. Among your main goals is the achievement of the commercial targets for time: matters. With your strong communicational skills you are able to identify your customers individual requirements and needs. You furthermore support a team of global key account managers by being the regional point of contact for your assigned key account customers.

Tasks

Regional Sales Management

  • Promote and obtain emergency logistics solutions in the Americas region (with a focus on North America).
  • Establish and maintain the relationship with major accounts.
  • Prepare sales presentations and documents for customer visits and internal prep meetings.
  • Prepare and verify customer proposals in co-operation with central time: matters departments and in line with the defined processes.
  • Negotiate all contractual matters with our customers.
  • Support services for dedicated customers with the objective of customer loyalty and business extension.
  • Prepare, schedule and realize customer visits as needed.
  • Participate in marketing and customer events (e.g. conferences, exhibitions, etc.).

Strategic Sales Planning

  • Translate global strategic guidelines into a regional sales strategy in order to attend to your market in the most efficient way.
  • Analyze the results of market research and implement a sales strategy that corresponds with the regional markets’ requirements and needs.
  • Develop and realize marketing and sales controlling measures.

Budgeting & Planning

  • In correspondence with members of the management team, develop and present an annual sales & marketing budget with the goal to meet the sales target numbers for the Americas.
  • Interpret the results from the previous budget periods.
  • Analyze actual sales numbers vs. planned budget on a monthly basis and take corrective action as needed.

Marketing and Product Management

  • Define and coordinate a regional marketing approach, in correspondence with the global and regional sales strategy of the company.
  • Enhance internal procedures, processes and tools based on market and customer needs in cooperation with all involved departments.
  • Evaluate market conducive services and help adjusting the existing products and product positioning to the market and customer needs.
  • Monitor and analyze competitors, competition development and initiation of required measures to protect and extent existing business.
  • Initiate sales supporting marketing activities in correspondence with global HDQ.

*All other tasks as assigned or required.

The ideal Regional Sales Manager should meet the following requirements:

  • High School diploma required.
  • Master's and Bachelor's degree desirable.
  • Min. 2 years' experience in logistics sales and/or freight forwarding.
  • Knowledge of transport supply chain solutions and logistics flows mandatory.
  • Airfreight knowledge as well as US cargo and/or international customs desirable.
  • Knowledge of cargo and airfreight services sales management.
  • English language required.
  • German, Spanish and Portuguese language desirable.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office, strong skills in MS Word and Power Point.
  • Responsible of budget and revenue.
  • Driven and goal orientated mindset.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Team player.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must possess a legal work permit in the U.S
