During this uncertain time, Santiam Hospital and Clinics has continued to meet the increased needs of our community. The SCoPE Molecular Lab is a new and evolving department, established in 2020 to help serve our community by providing COVID-19 testing during the pandemic. The SCoPE Lab received a Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity Enhancing Detection (ELC) Grant to coordinate testing for six counties in Willamette Valley. This grant focuses on ensuring that vulnerable populations have access to COVID-19 testing through existing and developing channels. Our Regional Testing Coordinator is looking to add an assistant.

The purpose of the ELC Grant’s Regional Testing Coordinator Assistant position is to help the Regional Testing Coordinator with administrative duties, host testing events throughout the region, and continuously learn about how we can better serve our communities.
Responsibilities:
Host testing events; continuously provide recommendations to improve processes; add to regional calendars; diligently manage contact lists; submit weekly data reports to the grant administrators; assist uninsured patients with getting signed up for insurance; research new programs and brainstorm ways to work with them; notetaking during meetings; organize information in an efficient manner; anything else as tasked by Regional Testing Coordinator.
Qualification/Education/Requirements:

• Use of Excel and Smartsheets for organizing, tracking, and reporting information

• Reliable vehicle and ability to drive to target locations on a regular basis (mileage Reimbursement is provided)

• Communicating program information and benefits to patients and families so they know of the resources available to them

• Hosting informational and sample collection booths

• Communicating with English-as-a-second language or non-English speaking individuals

• Flexible schedule and time commitment to help with events

• Assisting individuals and families with OHP applications

• Typing and recording all meeting notes

• Adhering to strict HIPPA regulations

• Other duties as assigned by Regional Testing Coordinator

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.25 - $22.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
