Here at Salem Dental Cosmetic and Family Dentistry, we are a fast-paced two doctor practice looking for a positive, punctual and efficient Full Time Dental Assistant. Recent graduate is strongly encourage to apply! You would be an integral part of our veteran team. We are looking for an outgoing communicator who enjoys getting to know a long-standing patient base and places their highest focus on quality patient care.

Your basic roles will include, ensuring excellent customer service, lifting administrative and basic dental tasks off the dentist’s shoulders and answering patient question, clearly explain treatment options and related costs to patients.

Responsibilities:

• Opening and closing procedures for the clinical area
• Act as a liaison between the doctor and the patient and assist in the gathering of information in the new patient experience
• Coordinate a treatment plan with the doctor and present it to the patient
• Ability to mentor dental assistants into expanded functions role
• Provide daily, weekly, monthly and yearly dental equipment maintenance
• Fabricate temporary crowns, digital impressions, sterilization, dental supply order
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Other EFDA responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:

• EFDA certification from an accredited program (not required by recommended)
• X-ray certification (required within 90 days)
• Chair side experience in general dentistry (Preferred but not required)
• Experience with Open Dental (Preferred) or ability to quickly adapt to a new EMR
• Up to date CPR (Preferred)

Work Schedule:

• Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
