As an experienced and passionate Registered Nurse, your ‘typical day’ will have you:
  • Providing excellent, person-centred resident care in relation to specialised nursing needs (i.e. management of diabetes, wounds, infections, pain and medications)
  • Maintaining documentation; completing resident assessments, incident investigation and related care documents in accordance with policies, procedures and to meet accreditation standards
  • Overseeing the administration of day to day tasks as relates to the provision of clinical care to achieve best resident outcomes
  • Applying sound decision making skills to make effective use of all resources
  • Undertaking clinical monitoring of residents and escalating changes as required
  • Providing employees with clear direction and guidance and actively promote positive working relationships

To thrive in this role you will have:
  • A current AHPRA registration and Registered Nurse (Division 1) qualification
  • A collaborative approach to working with residents, staff, colleagues and other key stakeholders
  • An understanding of the aged care legislative framework and requirements, including safe medication administration
  • A high level of accountability for own work
  • A friendly and positive attitude, and the ability to demonstrate client-focused behaviour
  • A natural ability to build relationships that make a difference
  • The ability to show empathy and treat others with dignity and respect
