Job description
The PACU Registered Nurse is a professional nurse who coordinates the delivery of nursing care for the patient in the post anesthesia recovery area. The PACU Registered Nurse demonstrates competence in the planning of care for the patient through the recovery phases of anesthesia. The RN participates in patient and family teaching, while providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards of professional nursing practice
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current state licensure or eligibility to do so.
- CPR certification/ ACLSACLS certification to be completed within 6 months of employment.
- PALS recommended, but not required
