Registered Nurse – Full Time
Primary Responsibilities
H4 is a high qualify18 bed homeless medical respite facility. The ideal RN candidate blends human compassion and empathy with the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide our chronically homeless and underserved patients with dignity and quality care. The RN is expected to be an active participant of the interdisciplinary team (MD, APRN, RN, Social Worker), advocates for, and leads the coordination of the medical needs of our patients.
- Conduct physical exams to assess patients’ health needs and problems
- Implement providers’ orders, perform treatments (including, but not limited to, starting IVs, blood draws, wound care, etc…) and administer medications
- Coordinate care among PCPs, specialists, behavioral health, other healthcare organizations, etc…
- Review and maintain medical records
- Implement and develop nursing care plans
- Counsel patients on disease prevention and health maintenance
- Educate patients about their medical conditions and treatment plans
- Provide emotional and psychological support
- Supervise nurse aides and/or medical assistants
- Maintain a safe and hygienic working environment
- Prepare exam rooms, medical equipment, and decontaminate instruments
Administrative Duties
- Assist Clinical Director with quality audits and ensure that the organization complies with Federal, State, and local guidelines and standards
- Assist Clinical Director in coordinating new hire orientation and educational in-services for the clinical staff
- Other duties as assigned

Work Hours
Salary is based on 40 hours per week average. RN will work shifts from 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am at 3 times per week and every third week requires 4 working days to get an average of 40 hours per week over a 3 week cycle period (36 hours, 36 hours, 48 hours = 40 hours average)
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Required)
- Current unrestricted State of Hawaii RN License (Required)
- Active BLS/HCP certification (Required)
- Three (3) years clinical experience (Desired)

Pay: $37.00 - $39.00 per hour
