5BT - Short Stay: Acute Care Medical Surgical @ Holly Springs

Shift/Hours:

· 7:00 pm - 7:00 am.

Holiday/Weekend/Call Requirement:

· Weekends: Every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday.

· Holidays: Assigned to a holiday track.

Responsibilities:

· Short Stay unit prepares patients for surgery involving perioperative assessment, medications, labs, IV's and patient preparation. Frequently placed in charge position.

· Provides care to patients for 24-48 hours or less in many different settings.

· Patients may be admitted with an expected short stay post operatively, for a medical condition or until they transition to a specific nursing unit.

Must Haves:

License: NC RN License

Certifications: BLS

Experience: 1-year acute care experience.

Education: Associates accepted; Must agree to enroll in BSN program within 4 years of being hired; Must complete BSN within 7 years.

About the Unit:

Number of beds: 8

Nurse to patient ratio: 1:4-5

Patient Population: Mostly extended recovery surgical patients (orthopedics) and medical surgical patients in observation status with an expected stay of 24-48hr.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $29.25 per hour

• Holly Springs, NC: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Preferred)

Experience:

• Nursing: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• RN (Preferred)
