Belpre Animal Clinic is seeking a registered veterinary technician or veterinary assistant to provide support to our veterinary and technical staff in the clinical setting. Duties will include animal handling, clerical and administrative tasks, including, but not limited to, animal restraint, record-keeping, client communications, patient care and monitoring, surgical preparation and assisting, dental prophylaxis and facility and equipment cleaning and maintenance.

A successful employee in this position will be reliable and able to work both alone and with a team. Employee must be self-motivated and able to deal with a challenging emotional and physical work environment. Applicants should be effective communicators with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. A successful candidate will need to be able to collaborate with the veterinarians, veterinary technicians and clients and demonstrate effective time management, prioritization and organizational skills. Compassion and empathy for humans and their animals is essential.

For the right candidate, the position is part-time or full-time, Monday-Friday with rotating Saturdays, at our Belpre clinic location and possibly some days in Waterford at our satellite, mobile clinic.

We will consider unregistered veterinary assistants although registered veterinary technicians are preferred. Pay rate will be based upon licensing and experience.
