BLOX is creating the tools to convert a resistant Architecture Engineering and Construction Industry into a smart and efficient machine. In short, BLOX takes the most complicated parts of a hospital – headwalls, surgery ceilings, MEP racks, Central Energy Plants, exam rooms, bathrooms, etc. - designs them so that they can be removed from conventional construction, manufactures them as modules, transports and inserts them into the construction process to yield higher quality buildings that open significantly faster than those conventionally constructed. BLOX is both service and product that includes architecture, engineering, manufacturing, logistics and construction.

BLOX is seeking a Regulatory Lead to join our manufacturing company in Bessemer, Alabama.

DESCRIPTION

Under minimal supervision, the Regulatory Lead will create, apply, and maintain materials needed for regulatory compliance. Assists with company compliance activities, licensing, third party relationships, and registration.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Buyer essential functions include:

  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, all state licensing requirements, shipping and logistics, etc.
  • Aides in permitting process for the design studio.
  • Managing General Contracting licenses for all states required.
  • Managing Business licenses for all states required.
  • Managing Manufacturing and Retailer licenses for all states required.
  • Managing and creating relationships with third party agencies and all state agencies involved in General Contracting, Business, and Manufacturing/retail licensing.
  • Code checks for new modular designs.

This individual will possess:

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in a legal or compliance setting.
  • Regulatory knowledge of the architectural, manufacturing, or construction industry.
  • Incumbent will need to be detail oriented with working knowledge of current building codes and how they apply to architects and/or manufacturers.
  • Incumbent will interface with many state entities, requiring a customer service focus with internal and external customers.
  • Self-motivated with internal drive to begin and complete tasks without external prompting.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; good listening skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, keeping information organized and accessible.
  • Strong PC skills, including Windows, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk suite & Adobe Design suite is a plus.
  • Manufacturing and construction industry a plus.

  • Have well developed interpersonal and business partnering skills, with the ability to quickly adapt to, be accepted by, and interrelate with the organization at all levels.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3-5 years previous experience in a Regulatory role
  • Previous experience and working knowledge of comprehensive Regulatory systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
