Job description
The primary purpose of this position is to assist in systems neuroscience experiments in the Ramirez lab. The ideal candidate will work with a team of post-docs, graduate students, and undergraduates; they will also be working on administrative issues (e.g. inventory, managing the lab budget, ordering equipment, processing finances) as well as neuroscience experiments (e.g. animal husbandry, surgery, optogenetics, behavior, data analysis). The candidate will work closely with the PI and other lab members daily to maintain the lab's infrastructure and is fully expected to manage personnel daily.
The ideal candidate will be working on a medley of research experiments involving rodent behavioral neuroscience; they will be working with post-docs, grad students, technicians, and undergraduates daily; and, they will help maintain the lab's equipment inventory and order placements. The position slot is highly competitive and the role will be filled by someone both qualified and enthusiastic about the research.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree with 1+ year of experience required.
