Position Description:
Maximize occupancy through selling Guest Rooms via telephone and/or internet and coordination of group business.
Job Requirements:
  • Proven ability to work well with the public with a pleasant telephone personality.
  • Ability to communicate information accurately and have a good working knowledge of the property and surrounding area.
  • Good organizational and office skills.
  • Good computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Social Media.
  • Basic High School Education.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time, stoop, bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Maintain a professional, tactful, cooperative and courteous manner when dealing with Guests, Managers and peers.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage reservations by telephone, internet or in person.
  • Review daily reservations.
  • Update the Front Desk about restricted days daily keeping them aware of changes.
  • Promote sales for the Monarch when communicating with individual reservations, group contracts and/or guest contacts.
  • Coordination with Sales/Catering Offices regarding changes with conventions, tour groups, etc.
  • Complete Weekly Forecasts and Group Pick-Up Lists.
  • Monitor commissions for 3rd Party Reservations.
  • Manage rates and rate plans with the Director of Sales/Catering and Sales Consultant.
  • Process Monthly Manifest from SWA (Southwest Airlines Crew List).
  • Represent the Monarch by giving courteous and prompt service and maintaining a high-quality image and demeanor.
