Vesta, Inc. is a not for profit, financially sound, mental health company which is expanding throughout the Maryland area. Vesta, Inc. provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare to include clinic, day program, and residential homes for those suffering from mental health disorders as well as transitional housing for homeless veterans.
We are currently in search of several compassionate individuals who have a passion for working with consumers who have been diagnosed with severe mental illness to work in our* Aging Region Residential Program. These individuals would be assisting* with coordination of client care and daily activities such as meal preparation, household chores, grooming, extra-curricular activities, medication monitoring and general oversight of consumers in the residential homes which are located throughout Prince Georges County. This position would be working in group homes with senior clients who have a variety of diagnosis and behavior disorders, but also have somatic care needs.
COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate: In accordance with the CMS Vaccine Mandate, Vesta employees, contractors, and interns are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for most of our employees, with the exception of those who primarily telework, work remotely, or have no direct contact with others while working. This requirement is subject to exceptions that may be required by law. If selected, you will be required to submit proof of vaccination before your onboarding if you are hired after December 4, 2021. Your recruiter will provide a list of documents acceptable as proof of vaccination and instructions for how to submit a request for a legally required exception, if needed, to comply with vaccination requirement.
We are currently looking for a Part-Time Counselor that will work every other Sat/Sun 8am-8pm.

Pays $16.83-$18.85/hr based on experience and education
Requirements:
- Caring, self-directed individuals who also take direction and feedback well.
- Self-motivation and ability to coordinate activities
- Ability to re-direct and de-escalate individuals
- Experience providing skills training
- Ability to drive a 15 passenger vans daily and possess and maintain, throughout employment, a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to enter information electronically and have a basic comfort with computers.
- Successful completion of pre-employment screening such as background check, drug testing, and reference verification.
The ideal candidate would be a compassionate individual with an understanding of the mentally ill and the ability to work individually and as a team member. This candidate must able to communicate in a positive, professional manor, and enjoy working in a fast paced environment. Bachelor's Degree in the Human Service field preferred but not required.Salary Range Disclaimer
