Job description

The Respite Program Coordinator will oversee and provide caregiver services to families who are caring for someone who is frail elderly, chronically ill and/or people with disabilities.
Major responsibilities include seeking referrals for clients who may benefit from caregiver services, doing home assessments, assigning respite workers and monitoring relationships between the client and the respite worker. You will also develop and facilitate support groups, caregiver workshops and provide ongoing coaching.

A major part of the coordinators job is to recruit volunteers by developing and delivering community presentations and maintaining partnerships in the communities served. The Program Coordinator is also responsible for monthly and quarterly reports and overseeing the Caregiver Advisory Council meetings.
Job Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Nursing, Social Work, Gerontology or related fields or extensive related experience is required.
• The ability to travel within the assigned area up to 50%.
• The ability to manage the budget assigned to the area.
