• Assist nursing staff in providing restorative care to residents and patients.
• Perform restorative and therapy tasks on patients as delegated.
• Understand and administer other clinical disciplines as advised by the doctors.
• Maintain an integrated approach toward patient outcomes through restorative nursing programs.
• Gather and document on patients’ data for restorative therapeutic purposes.
• Serve meals to residents and patients in a restorative facility.
• Monitor and keep track of changes in residents and patients under restorative nursing care.
• Prepare folders and maintain records of newly admitted residents and discharged residents.
• Organize the Medical Records Department in accordance with established policies and procedures, including electronic records if applicable.
• Review medical records for completeness, assemble record into standard order, and files records in designated areas according to filing systems.
• Ensure incomplete records/charts are returned to appropriate departments or staff for correction.
• File active and inactive records in accordance with established BVHR policies.
• Assist in recording all incidents/accidents. File in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• File information such as nurses’ notes, residents’ assessments, progress notes, laboratory reports, correspondence, etc. into resident charts.
• Locate, sign out, and deliver medical records as requested.
• Organize discharge and Medicare record charts.
• Perform monthly thinning and filing of medical charts.
• Initiate standards and guidelines in restorative nursing practices.
• Initiate and implement group and individualized restorative nursing programs.
• Assist restorative nursing staff in bathing, dressing and grooming residents and patients.
• Must maintain State Tested Nurse’s Aide Certification.
• Work under the direction of the Restorative RN to complete restorative programs.
• Experience preferred.
