JOB SUMMARY: The Retail Sales Trainer is a positive, energetic team player dedicated to the success and development of Belle Tire employees. This position is responsible for conducting training for employees at all levels, working with the Retail Operations team to understand and address their needs, and supporting the training development team to create learning opportunities for Belle Tire employees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducts face-to-face training on topics including the sales process, customer service, point of sale/billing systems, phone call handling, selling tires/automotive service, etc
- Conducts one-on-one training and coaching for retail sales personnel in stores
- Conducts training analysis and design of new instructor-led training
- Develops materials for instructor-led training
- Works with internal subject matter experts to understand training topics/content
- Works with the training development team to support the development of eLearning and other resources by providing content, reviewing materials, participating in beta and pilot reviews, etc
- Recognizes and communicates continuous improvement opportunities to Training Manager of Live Instruction.
- Conducts and/or participates in train-the-trainer activities
- Evaluates the transfer of skills and knowledge back to the job through store visits, follow-up phone calls, metric measurement, etc.
- Partners with the Directors of Retail Operations to identify and address training needs within the assigned communities.
- Uses the Belle Tire Academy learning management system to support instruction
- Supports, follows, and promotes Belle Tire policies and procedures
- Maintains classroom facilities and equipment
- Maintains a safe learning environment
- Other duties as assigned by the Training Manager of Live Instruction
- Travel required, including overnight stays, up to 75% of time

- Ability to complete tasks thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely manner
- General knowledge of learning management systems (current LMS provider Cornerstone)
- Proficiency in the use of relevant computer software (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Snag It)
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years in a retail or automotive setting occupying a leadership position
Working Conditions: Varying work hours, Mon-Fri, some additional time may be required on evenings and weekends.
