Join the McNabb Center Team as the Crisis Services RN Manager in Knox County today!

The RN Manager hires, trains, and supervises nursing staff for the Knox County Behavioral Health Urgent Care Center / Crisis Stabilization Unit.

  • oversees scheduling
  • monitors training needs
  • attends daily treatment tx teams
  • functions in a leadership role in the multi-disciplinary Crisis Services treatment team
  • orders supplies for the unit
  • available for selected 24/7 on-call medical questions and/or admission protocol inquiries
  • completes chart reviews and state reports to monitor for contract and agency compliance
  • provides direct care to clients as needed and assists with crisis interventions and medical emergencies
  • coordinates with all team members regarding client discharge planning
  • serves as a liaison with other agencies as indicated

COMPENSATION: Starting salary for this position is approximately $30.51 /hr based on relevant experience and education.

Schedule:

  • The BHUCC and CSU will operate 24/7, 365 days a year.
  • The holder of this position will be expected to work shifts that meet the needs of the program operation, which may include day, night, weekend, and holiday hours.
  • Regular attendance is an essential job function.
  • Mandatory to remain awake and alert during shift.

Travel:

  • This position requires utilizing a personal dependable vehicle to conduct Center business.
  • Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment.

Equipment/Technology:

  • Basic computer skills are required for email, timekeeping, scheduling, spreadsheets / word documents, and documentation in the electronic medical record.

QUALIFICATIONS - Crisis Services RN Manager

Education:

  • Must have a RN degree with a current/valid Tennessee license with course work or experience in the areas of cultural diversity, human development, primary care, etiology, and treatment of mental illness, alcohol and drug use, physical and sexual abuse, suicide, and intellectual developmental delays.
  • Must demonstrate a working knowledge of supervisory, administrative, and clinical skills.

Experience / Knowledge:

  • Experience with interdisciplinary collaboration and care coordination preferred. 2 years supervisory experience preferred.

Physical:

  • Minimal exposure to biological hazards.
  • Hearing of normal/soft tones and close eye work.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required (training provided).
  • Required to be certified in and adequately implement verbal and physical de-escalation techniques.
  • Applicants should be able to exercise sound judgement under pressure.
  • Clinical staff may be required to get an F endorsement to transport clients as necessary.
