Starting Pay Range – $15.00 - $16.33
What you will do as our Safety Coordinator:
- Develop, review and maintain copies of all records, files and databases that pertain to the safety of the program’s facilities. This includes other inspection paperwork that is related to federal, state and local compliance.
- Review monthly classroom incident reports in database systems with Health Services Manager. Work with related staff to complete work orders in correcting safety concerns. Report out corrections and findings to related staff on follow-up.
- Develop, implement, and monitor, all safety regulations including but not limited to:
- Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS)
- Child Care Licensing Standards
- National Health and Safety Standards
- OHSA Workplace Standards
- Weber County Health Department Regulations
- National Fire Code
- State of Utah Furnace Code
- National Playground Safety Standards
- Conduct annual ongoing monitoring for inspections. Monitor scheduled facility safety maintenance for all sites in coordination with Education Supervisors and staff.
- Act as liaison between OWCAP and partners by working cooperatively with assigned partners.
- Maintain required documentation.
- Submit reports in a timely manner.
- Attend assigned meetings and training.
- Develop and conduct assigned trainings and/or presentations.
What you need to be our Safety Coordinator:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood education and development programs
- One-year experience implementing health and safety guidelines
