Job description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager. This position will be responsible for coordinating safety programs, employee training, workplace inspections, investigations, and recommendations on safety for the organization. It's a huge plus if candidates are bilingual (English-Spanish), but it's not required.

Required Experience:

• 2 years of direct experience working in a commercial construction management environment, or having a degree in occupational safety and health or other safety related degrees.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards
• Training in and working knowledge of Fall Protection, Confined Spaces, Trenching and Excavation, and different types of PPE.
• Experience with First Aid and CPR methods
• Experience in employee safety training
• Experience with Word and Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations and industrial processes.
• Cover topics in construction safety dealing with guidelines from OSHA, and local governing regulators of incident and injury prevention in the work place.
• Overseeing the safety of the construction project from start to finish. Ensure that construction activities are in compliance with OSHA and other government regulators standards
• Implement the safety program when needed.
• Effectively communicating with management and employees to coordinate all safety efforts on the a project.
