Sailboat Rigger in a Maine, Family Owned Boatyard and Marina:
Yankee Marina & Boatyard is looking for hard-working candidates interested in a year-round, professional career in Sailboat Rigging. Some rigging experience is necessary, along with a willingness to learn new tasks. Riggers will perform a variety of job functions including but not limited to repair, maintenance, and replacement of sailboat rigging and sail systems, stepping and unstepping masts, completion of inspection check lists, operating a forklift, boom truck, crane, other heavy equipment and a variety of power tools. The rigging crew will assist other departments, perform other yard duties assigned or as the situation dictates, including but not limited to yard maintenance, general labor, customer assistance, and more. The right candidate is someone who will complete projects timely and effectively, maintain cleanliness on projects both during and after job completion, perform heavy lifting, climbing, and carrying during job process, and maintain awareness of and consistently practice safe work habits. The successful candidate must be willing to learn new tasks and work well with other experienced marine crew to provide a well-executed, quality service to our boating customers.
