Sales Assistant

JKExec is proud to partner with a well-respected network equipment provider, local to Rochester, New York, in their search for a Sales Assistant.

The Sales Assistant will report to the Sales Admin Team Lead and will be responsible for assisting the outside sales team with all aspects of the sales process. This person will act as a liaison between the sales and operations team, ensuring that orders are progressing on time and that all internal information is communicated properly to the sales team.

Responsibilities:

· Act as a dedicated resource to a team of 2-4 outside Sales Representative to assist with the sales process

· Perform searches of equipment from internal inventory, and from vendors

· Obtain pricing information and availability from vendors, and complete paperwork accordingly

· Create and process Sales Orders in an accurate and timely fashion

· Collaborate with the Sales and Operations Teams to monitor active purchase orders, expedite requests for rush orders, and alter sales orders and shipping data as needed

· Arrange travel and accommodations for any Salesperson that is meeting clients outside of the office

· Assist in scheduling of client meetings, conferences, and appointments

· Report any inventory or receiving issues to the appropriate Sales Representative immediately

· Maintain an organized and accessible file system for the sales team

· Build relationships with vendors and customers

· Complete any necessary administrative work including filing, reports, and additional tasks

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree, preferred

· Proven success in a sales environment preferred

· Strong customer-service orientation

· Exhibit strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

· Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

  • Macedon, NY: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • B2B sales: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Telecommunication: 1 year (Preferred)
