What you will do:

As our Director of Sales Engineering, you will be responsible for building and leading a world class team of technical Sales Engineers who work directly with our customers to provide sales quotes and build customer relations for our control panels to operate engineered pumping systems in the water and wastewater industry.
To achieve targeted sales growth, you will be responsible for creating staffing, onboarding, performance measurement, and staff development plans to grow the team in addition to providing customer estimates, designing panels, and validating purchase orders. You will be tasked with staying ahead of evolving technology and understanding all quoting tools used by the team, making sure systems are utilized appropriately and are scalable for future growth. This position can work at our Ashland, OH, Plymouth, MN, Vacaville, CA, Randolph, MA, or our St. Petersburg, FL location.
The job:
Every day you will own and lead the Sales Engineering department with focus on understanding the needs of our customers and providing quotes and drawings in a timely manner. You will participate in developing overall strategy, marketing tactics, product requirements, manufacturing, and service expectations for custom panels and systems. You will establish market level pricing strategies and margin targets across the division based on quote activity, quote hit rates and business unit backlog data.
The skills you need:
To thrive in this job, you need to have strong analytical and communication skills. You need to have experience in leading a remote technical team in a manufacturing environment and be self-driven. Expect to travel up to 20 percent. You need to understand the quoting process for engineered systems and control panels. A 4-year technical degree with 5 years of experience is preferred.
