The Sanitation Worker is a member of a cleaning crew whose duties are to clean and sanitize food, beverage and/or processing plants, which are operated by the employer's customers, to meet Quality Control and Bacterial Standards imposed by the customer and applicable Government agencies, such as the USDA. The cleaning crew is required to completely clean<br>and sanitize the plant quickly and efficiently during relatively short time periods between the plant's normal production shifts,<br>which typically require that the Sanitation Worker work during late evenings/nights/early morning shifts, and frequent overtime<br>(weekends, days and evenings). The Sanitation Worker is required to work in an environment that is wet, very humid, and<br>experiences extreme temperature changes, from very hot to very cold, which may cause the work area to become foggy, icy and<br>slippery.<br>The Sanitation Worker also cleans and works around extremely dangerous and sometimes fast-moving equipment, some of<br>which must be running to enable the Sanitation Worker to clean it. The work area floor may become quite slippery due to<br>animal fat and/or oil residue from daily plant production as well as the water and chemicals used by the Sanitation Workers.<br>Sanitation Workers must work as a team along with other members of the crew, sometimes under stressful conditions, and be<br>flexible and willing to perform varying tasks directed by the supervisor and in accordance with all safety guidelines mandated.
<p>Sanitation Workers are required to perform certain tasks and maintain certain standards throughout their employment with QSI.<br>These tasks and standards include, but are not limited to:<br>1. Frequently lift and move hoses, equipment, chemical containers weighed 20 - 80 lbs. throughout each work shift.<br>2. Assist in transporting heavy equipment with forklifts, hand trucks and other devices.<br>3. Wear employer specified protective gear, including three pairs of gloves, face/eye shields, aprons, boots, hearing<br>protection, lab coats, hair nets, beard nets, etc.. Some of this equipment may be supplied by the employer.<br>4. Exposure to cleaning solutions and sanitizers (with protective gear)<br>6. Perform all tasks associated with the job, safely and in a manner that will not create or pose a direct threat to the health<br>and/or safety of the Sanitation Worker or others.<br>7. Comply with all Employment Policies directed by QSI, their Management and Supervisors and Safety Practices and<br>Policies of both QSI and it's customers. Failure to comply with these Policies will result in disciplinary action, up to and<br>including termination of employment</p>

Job Type: Full-time
